Armstrong Flooring® Conjunction™ LVT Sets New Standard in Indent Resistance and Transitional Performance

May 4, 2026

Engineered for best‑in‑class indent resistance and true 4.5mm transitional performance

AHF Products announces the launch of Armstrong Flooring® Conjunction™ 4.5 mm Loose Lay Luxury Flooring, a collection purposely built to outperform competitive loose lay products in the most critical performance category: resistance to residual and static load indentation. Its 4.5 mm transitional profile allows seamless alignment with adjacent flooring types, giving specifiers a versatile solution for multi‑material spaces.

“Conjunction’s durability is game-changing. It was engineered to solve the biggest pain points we hear from designers and facility managers,” said Yon Hinkle, Vice President, Product Management-Resilient. “Indentation resistance is the number one challenge in LVT flooring, and this product changes the conversation. The transitional 4.5 mm profile is a major advantage for real‑world installations.”

Conjunction delivers 4X the resistance to residual and static load indentation, impact, and rolling loads compared to competitive loose lay LVT. Its robust construction includes a rigid wear layer paired with Diamond 10® Technology, providing category‑leading scratch, stain, and scuff resistance from edge to edge.

“For over a decade, Diamond 10 Technology has set the standard for flooring excellence,” Hinkle added. “By harnessing the strength of diamonds, we’ve created a patented solution that keeps floors looking newer, longer—even in the most demanding commercial settings.”

Diamond 10 Technology uses real diamonds to deliver unmatched scratch, stain, and scuff resistance. In scratch‑test simulations using a 12.5 lb. load for 10 passes—representing commercial traffic—competitive coatings show visible residue buildup on brown pads as the surface wears away. Conjunction’s coating remains intact, demonstrating its ability to withstand the rigors of commercial use, including heavy foot traffic, furniture movement, and accidental impacts.

The 4.5 mm thickness is a defining advantage. It allows Conjunction to be used as a standalone loose lay floor or as a transitional option that aligns with adjacent flooring profiles. This flexibility simplifies specification in multi‑material environments and supports cohesive design across large commercial footprints.

Conjunction is manufactured in the United States with U.S. and global content. When installed with a recommended Armstrong Flooring adhesive, it carries a 30‑Year Commercial Limited Warranty. The company also offers a comprehensive range of accessories including adhesives, maintenance products, wall base, and weld rods.

The collection’s visuals reflect nature’s intelligence, with a palette grounded in warm, biophilic tones. Predominantly wood looks are complemented by select stone and textile accents. Each SKU stands confidently on its own while remaining visually compatible with the rest of the collection, supporting spaces where everything must work together.

Proven Performance in Real‑World Environments

Hospitality spaces demand flooring that can handle unpredictability—high heels on dance floors, rolling suitcases, dropped dishes, pet claws, and constant foot traffic. Conjunction’s superior indentation resistance and Diamond 10 coating help it withstand these challenges while maintaining a polished, inviting appearance. Its transitional 4.5 mm profile makes it an ideal choice for mixed‑use hospitality environments. Similarly, healthcare environments require surfaces that feel safe, clean, and professional. Conjunction supports these needs with calming, nature‑inspired visuals and a construction designed to handle heavy equipment, rolling loads, and continuous movement.

From nurses’ stations and lobbies to patient rooms and waiting areas, the collection brings durability and serenity into balance. Conjunction Construction Highlights:

  • Diamond 10 Technology for category‑leading scratch, stain, and scuff resistance
  • Rigid wear layer for enhanced durability and abrasion resistance
  • Realistic printed visuals
  • Stable foundation layer with square edge design
  • Made in the USA
